About the project

A transformative project for less developed regions

Fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, and green & digital transitions across Energy-Intensive Industry value chains.

Description

The GreenStep project

GreenStep is a transformative project aimed to empower capacity in less developed regions by fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, green and digital transitions, and alignment of S3 strategies leading to enhanced innovation and economic growth. GreenStep lays the foundations for long-term collaboration among Quadruple-Helix stakeholders in Energy-Intensive Industries (EIIs) value chains, bringing together 8 regions (3 less developed, 2 transition, 1 outermost, and 2 more developed) from 6 different countries.

The highly skilled and complementary consortium is formed by 5 clusters, 2 universities, 2 companies, and 1 government body, operating as a cross-sectoral, interdisciplinary, and interregional network whose expertise ensures GreenStep's commitment to excellence.

Objectives

Specific objectives

01
Analyse S3 strategies

Analyse S3 strategies and innovation ecosystems within the project regions, providing the information needed to understand their framework.

02
Build the GreenStep Ecosystem

Build the bridge between stakeholders and create the GreenStep Ecosystem connecting the Quadruple Helix.

03
Connect stakeholders

Organise concrete actions to connect stakeholders, broadening networks and strengthening cooperation.

04
Promote investments

Lay the basis to promote interregional investment projects and ensure long-term sustainability.
